Do I Need a Website for My Business?
As a business owner in the 21st century, you might be asking yourself questions such as, “Do I need a website? Which social media platforms should I be on? How do I know what digital marketing to participate in?” I know it can be overwhelming at times so I want to help clear up that first question, “Do I need a website?” The answer: Yes.
You might think, “I don’t sell a product, so I don’t need to have a website,” but a website serves a much larger purpose than to sell products. Websites help customers connect with your brand and learn what you have to offer. The integration of Google maps allows customers to find your location and by putting your best reviews and testimonials upfront, consumers can read highly valuable opinions. There are a few other key points to having a website and I’ll explain them below.

Credibility. According to research done by Stanford, 75% of people have judged a company’s credibility based on its website design. Having a well-designed website will help your business to appear more professional and give the expectation and experience associated with your business.
How often have you gone to a website and saw outdated information and left the site completely? I’m guilty of doing this all the time! If I go to a site and don’t think it’s real or credible I will not be doing business with them because I don’t trust the information available.
People are Searching. There are over 5 billion Google searches made every day and 97% of consumers are taking to the internet to find and research local businesses. I definitely do this when I am traveling and looking to go to a new place. If I can’t find a website or information about a business, then I have no idea what might be nearby that I want to try out. So, if you are wanting to grow your business then make sure to be visible to new potential consumers.

Show Services and Products. Whether you offer a service or a product, you should be showing potential consumers what you can do for them in an easy and clear format. 30% of today’s consumers won’t even consider a business that doesn’t have a website and that is a big missed opportunity and missed sales for your business.
